How to make a Tequila Sunrise
Making a Tequila Sunrise is super simple once you get the hang of pouring Grenadine Syrup purchased from Amazon. Just drizzle the syrup on the back of a spoon and let it settle to the bottom of the glass. It will make a stunning gradient effect on your tropical cocktail.
Ingredients
- Tequila
- Grenadine
- Orange Juice
- Maraschino Cherry
- Orange Slice
Recipe Steps
The first step in the Tequila Sunrise recipe is to fill a collins glass with good quality ice. You always want to add ice to this drink first so that the other ingredients chill as they are settling to the bottom.
If you want to learn about the different cocktail ice types, be sure to read our blog post that explains the three main types of ice used in bartending.
Next, pour in the tequila and orange juice into the glass. THen using the back of a bar spoon, slowly pour the grenadine down the side to allow it to settle on the bottom. Pour slowly enough so that it does not mix with the other ingredients.
Add a maraschino cherry on top of the drink and garnish the top with a generous orange slice.
